Just to make this clear I have never done this; nor have the intention to. However, I think someone reported one of our sites. A past client that has a major jealously issue. For some reason I can picture him doing this. He was aware of what sites we owned (a few of them). It's now odd because the sites he knew about disappeared.

My question, has anyone here ever reported someone. If so did you see their site fall out right away?

I'm not sure that a website can go down if just 1 person reported it.
Who knows if its just a Google Dance and it'll come even stronger when it comes back!

That's what I was wondering. However, the keywords it's ranking for are very strong. They have been up there for years. I did just do a bunch of link building (from strong sites). You are right, it could be re-evaluating it's position.

I'll give it until next week before submitting another reconsideration request through Google.

Depends on who you are. If you're some asshat no one knows (no offense) Google won't care. However one of my former bosses, a billionaire and a member of the board at Motorola, reported a competitor to Google and was actually given a face time meeting at Google HQ in Cali. Still didn't actually get the competitor banned, just penalized.

Money Talks.

hard to believe

I know someone who reported a competitor for link injecting and cross site scripting. The site was #1, friend was #2 for very competitive & high paying adsense terms with massive traffic. Friend reported site to adsense and it was removed in a couple of days.
