I will take my family on a holiday and we have decided to go to Key West, Florida.

I have only stayed at hotels before so I have no idea how to proceed when you want to rent a house.

I have contacted a couple of people through craigslist but they all want to have the whole fee paid up front and I just don´t feel comfortable doing so.

How can I guarantee that they just haven´t taken a photo of a house, uploaded it to craigslist and then try to scam tourists?

Any suggestions on how I should proceed?

    Thanks :)

Hit up a Real Estate company down there to handle a transaction like that.

    That is pretty common there.

yea that CL stuff is all Black Hatters dont fall for it. Contact a rental company in Keywest using google search, they will all require you to pay upfront if u book something, but they wont disappear afterwards

real estate company is the safest way, avoid cl or try to weed out spam offers.
