Hey everyone, I know if you google "how to remove the date in wordpress" there will be over 5 pages of articles telling me what to do... They all say to locate and remove a some code in either index.php, function.php, single.php, page.php etc. I have tried all of this and still nothing... And I have also tried the "date exclusion" plugin but still nothing. So I do apologize for this question, but the whole foundation of the site revolves around me deleting this off of posts.

I am using Prestige Light for my theme have all my plugins uninstalled, and even when I delete the entire code snippet for one of the php files, nothing even happens.. (except for homepage.php, if I delete this my site does not appear, as expected) I am wondering if there is another place in which I need to locate code? Because for example, in the editor, if I delete all the code for blog.php, nothing even changed when I take a look at my site... or maybe something is changing and I'm just not realizing it.

If I go the the project file and open prestigelight/cms/php there are a handful of php files there. One is cp_functions.php and the other one that I think might have to do with it is either cp_customposts and cp_general. What does CP stand for and do you even think this is where the code would be located?

Your thought are extremely appreciated as this problem has already wasted all morning for me....

I will gladly pay someone 10 dollars via pay pall if they can get rid of the date, posted by, categories, and comments from the post such that only the text appears. PM me and I can send you the theme folder.

Just go into those files and search for the word "time". You can find the piece of code to remove easily (assuming you understand basic html).
