No, put if you add new content, search engines MAY not find it as easily, but if your site is well-indexed already it won't be much of a problem. May I ask why you want to remove it?

No with a little more explanation - Sitemaps are not a big factor in the SERPS, they are only used so your website can get crawled faster and the added new posts can show up faster on goole search results. They are meant to be removed/changed so you have nothing to worry about.

I don't think but its better no to if it doesn't matter as sometime because of change in your website or content or even some fonts on widgets can make your website and keyword dancing on SERP so its better if you really not necessary don't remove it.

It won't hurt but it will/could hinder. The sitemap is there to easily lay out your site, pages etc to search spider bots.

Again the question arises as to why you wouldn't want a sitemap, and addressing that issue before you just remove it. Even if it helps just 1 page get indexed that wouldn't have been indexed before you are better off having the sitemap in place.

The sitemap itself does not help SEO by existing, but not getting all the pages you want indexed will most definitely effect your SEO. and that is what the sitemap does.

If you are woorried that there is soething in the sitemap you don't want Google to see, remove it from the map.

In plain terms NO. However what search engines you are most concerned of? If you are using GWC then you should keep the site map very much there. Also are you removing it for a while or forever?

removing your sitemap may have some impact on new content getting indexed, generally if you have a sitemap more pages of your site will get indexed and new posts will get indexed quicker. But as other people have pointed out, not having a sitemap or deleting your sitemap won't have any effect on your ranking position.
