I would have never raised this issue but this happened twice.

    ============================

    [12:37:37 AM] Mark: Hi there!
    [12:38:17 AM] Sahil Juneja: yeap
[12:38:25 AM] Mark: Nice to meet you Sahil
[12:38:31 AM] Mark: We spoke few months back in Feb
[12:38:42 AM] Sahil Juneja: ok (think)
[12:39:12 AM] Mark: I believe we both advertise on BHW
[12:39:33 AM] Mark: I noticed mate that you launched new BST
    [12:39:33 AM] Mark: http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...uilding-campaign-you-need-unique-content.html
    [12:40:13 AM] Sahil Juneja: yea
[12:40:20 AM] Mark: But partially copied of our service name which is causing some confusion
[12:41:17 AM] Mark: If possible could you kindly remove the "Revolution" from the title since its almost identical to our thread name - "Revolutionary" . All else is okay
[12:41:28 AM] Sahil Juneja: dude lol
[12:41:35 AM | Edited 12:42:15 AM] Mark: If you contact (Mr. Apricot) he'll take care of this for you
[12:41:48 AM] Sahil Juneja: so you were the guy behind the modification of my thread's name
[12:42:50 AM] Mark: Well yes mate, it is our thread. I am not a 3rd party but the owner behind the company that offers this service and BST that you copied below:
    [12:42:50 AM] Mark: http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...l-one-search-engine-optimization-service.html
[12:43:14 AM] Sahil Juneja: what makes you say I copied your BST ?
[12:43:33 AM] Mark: The title, you cannot copy another service's name mate.
    [12:43:47 AM] Sahil Juneja: http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...ogs-quad-cms-b-c-class-ips-last-15-slots.html
[12:43:51 AM] Sahil Juneja: is this cool enough?
[12:43:57 AM] Sahil Juneja: a thread from 2012
[12:44:14 AM] Sahil Juneja: The title, you cannot copy another service's name mate.by that logic you'll have the change the name of your service since it sounds like my service ?
[12:46:41 AM | Edited 12:48:03 AM] Mark: Mate lets try to stay on the current topic. We are currently advertising heavily and have been for the past 9 months straight and also have the next 3 months booked as well with Greg. Therefore we try to ensure that no one infringes our copies or name as that would be sales-hijacking
[12:47:06 AM] Mark: Anyhow I have reached out to Mr.Apricot again today and forwarded this convo, so perhaps hell reach out, have a great day and thanks for the chat mate.
    [12:48:24 AM] Sahil Juneja: chill
[12:48:26 AM] Sahil Juneja: we are being on the current topic only
[12:48:48 AM] Sahil Juneja: you got my thread edited without even asking me once.. I could have easily changed the name of my service if it was a request
[12:48:58 AM] Sahil Juneja: but you my bwoy
[12:49:10 AM] Sahil Juneja: leave it.. will handle it in bhw if needed
[12:49:15 AM] Sahil Juneja: thanks for your time :)

    ===================================

I came online today and what I saw is the title of my thread was changed again.. wtf?

First I thought of clearing the issue with Mr. Appricot but then I realized that he is busy in solving issues over bhw and I should not waste his time so I finally decided to bring this to attention of the whole community and other mods and admin.

Also I just did a quick search and here are some threads that have the "same type of name"
    http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...e-optimization-service-100-manual-work-7.html
    http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...-page-ranking-9s-200-sites-revised-price.html
    http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...es-join-our-tax-free-products-revolution.html
    http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...drip-fed-social-signals-service-provider.html

I mean seriously, tomorrow someone will claim that don't use word SEO in your thread title as its sales hijacking ?
I could have easily agreed on changing the title of my service if that sdseoguru guy would have made a request but now I won't!

Can some higher authority please check this issue?

    What an idiot.

If that were me I would now insist that he changed the name of his thread.

He is trying to make the rules - I would do everything I could to ensure HE is the one who abides by them.

    Some people have no idea.

You should request he to change his sales thread name as you are using it since 2012 as I understand.

Blah Blah Blah, you get the idea. Pretty lame somebody gets a Mod to change a word in a sales thread. The only time it should happen if it is a real branding issue or somebody is trying to pass off one services as another.

Here is the thing...99% of the services offered on forums aren't real businesses. They aren't even legally registered business entities. No trademarks. No nothing.

Lot of people copy names here...it is lame as fuck, yes...shows that they have zero creativity. But, unless there is a trademark issue there really isn't much you can do.

Revolution link building and Revolutionary link building are bound to cause confusion. Instead of one asking the other to remove the name, they should have both gotten together to brainstorm a solution. This isn't good for either of them, and one would think that they'd both want to stand out with their own uniqueness. I wouldn't have asked the OP to remove the word because that's just rude, but I would have asked if we could both discuss it.

SEO's use the word revolution/revolutionary as often as software companies use the phrase "we want to make the world a better place". BS!

It's funny how often people describe the system/offer/business they copied from other people as 'revolutionary'

I love it how he changes topic by saying "lets stay on current topic" when you show that 2012 thread :D

A title created in 2012 is a copy of a title created in 2014? He is selling a machine to travel to the past?

Thanks OP. I for one will definitely not be using Revolutionary Link Building Campaigns.

I'm not a lawyer but I've ready enough copywriting threads to know you can't trademark generic titles. You can trademark words like "Nike", "Reebock", "Xerox".... even books like "Harry Potter"... but how can you possibly trademark a common word like, "Revolution"?

I would fight this to the death OP.

That would be like me naming my business "Outrageously Effective SEO" then getting mad when people use the words "outrageous" or "effective". I would blame MYSELF for picking such a common word, NOT someone I perceive/misperceive to be hijacking my traffic. If you're going to start a company, pick a unique name. Plan ahead. Use your brain. If you lack creativity to do so, I don't see how you have any right to complain. UNLESS your service becomes so popular and so distinguished then lawyers can make an acceptation. But I've never heard of this place in my life & now I will go out of my way not to use them.

Just funny how OP was approached with such a silly reason.

    Revolution / Revolutionary !! (LMAO)

This is surely a "Revolution" in this "Revolutionary" world.

A new way to TROLL may be.......
