    Hi

Have anyone done this with good results? I'm looking to remove most of my links and keep only the 10% best links (I'll leave some poorer links, just to make it more natural). Have anyone done anything like this? If you have, what was the result?

You must have read that the disavow tool is still used only for informative purposes by google.. They keep saying it... I don't think you' ll get the desired results, but you can try it and tell us how it went.

If you have created the backlinks, I mean that you have access to the website accounts, then it will be wise to delete them might be better.
After that, if there are still garbage/low quality backlinks that you cannot remove yourself, then contact Google.

I have 2000+ links that I got over the last 3 years. My competitors have from 10 - 50 links and are outranking me. The different between me and them are that they have local links, and I have from all around the world. And no, I do not have access to all links, not even close.

Have anyone tried google disallow? if you have, what was the results?

Could I have a look and compare these sites with yours? I'm curious to see if I can pin point exactly what's wrong here.

I am in this similar scenario. Would you be able to help me out?

    Thanks!

So why do you think that disavowing your other links will somehow help you?

Your competitors seem to be outranking you because they have better and more relevant links than you from local sources. They should be outranking you. You'll need to either get access to those same links, or build up some nice high authority, high PR, high trust links from other places in order to compete with them.

Unless you suddenly dropped in rank or got yourself an unnatural links building warning, I'm not really seeing the connection here.

You'll most likely just tank your site by removing/disavowing all the links pointed at it right now.

Disallow bad links slowly, and buy new good links slowly

Thanks. I have most of the same links as them as well, but I have so many other links that I feel are dragging me down. Maybe this is just a feeling.

Does the age of the link have any effect?
In majesticseo it shows the links from good to bad, but some of my new, good links are shown in the end of the list, even when the thrust flow is good?

Rather than buying new links from others it would be better to create our own links which will be real and natural....!

Its not true. When I applied for disavow techniques only for 86 spammy link to remove but they taken entire backlinks from my website and removed manually. Before it was around 5180 backlinks but now its 1521. Plz careful before your submitting for disavow request.

Disavow links and try to get high-value and relevant links slowly.

You must use it only if you link profile looks bad, links from spam, virus flagged domains or negative seo.

thanks again! I dont have spammy links and don't know how to spot bad links or virus infected links. How to I spot spammy links or bad links other than the ranking from first to last page in majesticseo?
