Remote Desktop Connection Error "An internal error has occurred."

Hey guys,

I am getting this error while connecting to VPS

Can anyone let me know how to fix this. Tried googling but could not find a proper fix.

Triple check your connection address, firewall rules (on both ends), fully update both systems.
Check for any system file corruption (specifically Mstsc.exe) by running 'sfc /scannow' in cmd prompt.

Edit: Obligatory.. Have you tried turning both systems off and on again?

After restarting both the system I was able to connect to the VPS.
Not sure what was the cause and how to stop that from happening again.

i was going to suggest the ip firewall problam happens a lot.

i recon it was a windows os glitch as Windows is problmatic lol

mod was fast on that one .

Probably means you copied the wrong address or something.
