Anyone see any issue registering a .ru and hosting in Russia?

Reason I ask is b/c some registrars seems to make it easy to register a .ru whilst others talk about you must have a registered company address in Russia.

Also - can anyone chime in with good hosting? I just need a simple site to be hosted.

It's no problem to register .ru domain. I even register it on fake data, so it's false info about company adress and so other. Why do ya want exactly .ru?

Healthcare Biz - my site has been translated into Russian and keen to launch it and try out Yandex search for paid traffic - have you ever used that?

It would be better to use Google AdWords, Yandex isn't so good for this niche.
    It's white-label?

    Yes - white label.

Interesting your comment about Google AdWords. My understanding is that Yandex represents 60% of search hence why I thought to target that SEngine....

Is Google popular as well? Would you target and use Google AdWords more than Yandex then?

You should rank it on Yandex as in russia most people use it , (mostly russians) and the rest of non-russians use google so i prefer to go for Yandex :)
