Sounds good doesn't it? Now take a look at the page and the companies involved.
Do you think it is their idea of an early April Fool's?

It seems legit. I mean there is a lot of news about it when searching the quotes. These group of companies combined would just shut down for a day would really send a message to lawmakers.. I don't know, it could just be a handful of lube. They could just be making the appearance they give a shit or pissed the feds are stealing their data for themselves. If they are making a stand I wish they would have acted before we lost aaron swartz.

"the undersigned companies" only take that position now because they're embarrassed to have been caught with their pants down, and their respective PR firms have suggested a ploy like this...

I just think, that they really have no shame. I bet that all those companies combined, have more data about us than the NSA ever did.

I think thats the biggest reason for snatching it. Feds hate going through someone else for data.. Its the type of data however. Spending habits, associations, conversations, Likes, dislikes, beliefs, etc.. Imagine the psychological profile they could create of someone just with that data alone.. I don't hide myself as I use to, then I don't do a lot of things I use to either.. We ignore TOS and agree to the stupidest stuff, web companies have data our feds could never have ascertained legally, now they are the fox in the hen house... bastards...

From the look of it, the situation is really bad out there.
If you "reverse engineer" the 5 principles, you can pretty much understand how THE government operates.
