hello guys,

Is there anybody who explain the meaning of "Referrin Domains" in ahrefs.com please? It seems it is related to the backlinks somehow...

I searched about it but couldn't understand what the results told to me, So maybe an example would be very good...

So can anybody help me to understand it please?

Thanks so much...

Referring Domains means those domains which are linking to your website in any which way . This is a "back link" for your site.

Thanks buddies,

I got it, for one of my videos I see 82 backlinks and 41 referring domains, so how to interpret this while I know there is a relationship between these 2?

Thanks

And what if we generate say several similar backlinks from a referring domain? Do we count the said backlinks separately even if all of them are exactly the same?

Yes, they all count as backlinks but from one domain. It is better to have more referring domains (backlinks from different domains), especially from C Class IP domains.

"Google will, to my understanding, devalue links from sites where you have 20 or more links on a domain name pointing to the same page. For example; if you have a site named www.cars.com and on the footer of this 5,000 page site is a link to www.mysite.com/page1.html. Google will count up to about 20 of those links and devalue the remaining 4,980."

However, the text quoted above is not based on scientific data.
