Reduce Scam on BHW - Shitlist + BST Improvement

So, you are saying that BHW can't block G to index their pages? That if we see the pages, Google must too?
Yes, that's how Google works. Hiding a page from Google while keeping it publicly visible takes a non-trivial effort, and again, for zero benefit.

I am not sure that this is the case, but if so, again, why would you care if you are a legit seller man.
I take it you've never experienced a negative SEO attack or review bombing?

About that with 2.0, it is not the same at all, except the pricing.
I am saying that BHW should force the whole marketplace to be paid, and everything else you can see on this thread.
And I am saying that new protections are coming with BHW 2.0 and Marketplace 2.0, which are already in development.

If you don't want to give $50 for your security and PM status on BHW, what would you spend on buying?
I used the marketplace for several years before joining BHW, but if that first purchase had required an upfront $50 fee, I would have stuck with one of the many free or per-transaction marketplaces and avoided BHW entirely.

Since the whole premise of your $50 fee is to reduce fraudulent SL threads, all you're really doing is punishing the many for the actions of a few. And for those sellers that make hundreds or thousands a day, $50 per account to soft-ban their competitors is nothing.

It's already pretty well run, common sense is better. I've done a lot of transactions on here. Just read the thread before you buy, don't buy from yellow members or via pm, it's hardly rocket science.

Can't agree with you. Even the top ranked sellers can decide they are leaving the business or whatever and they just switch to scams. If your statement was true, then SL would be less active. No matter of scam type, BHW could make you more protected for a small fee, it could cost $35, not matter that much.

The point is, it can only be helpful, and if you take a deep look on it, count all the warnings you can receive, you won't be scammed as soon as 1 buyer is potentially scammed. You have to read SL's to see what I'm talking about.

BHW would become one of the most secured markets.
Being able to PM on BHW would require at least the Buyer status.
And many free members who are customers only would buy it as the risk of being scammed is minimized compared with any other location.

If you don't want to give $50 for your security and PM status on BHW, what would you spend on buying?
If you are just frustrated with paying $50 to be max secured, then ok, it's fine.
We could put this on the vote board later :)

I've no idea what your agenda is here, but I'll answer from my own thoughts;

If Shitlists went live immediately then competitors would be able to get 'friends' to create accounts on here just to open fake Shitlists against competing services.

The marketplace is not hidden, people are able to buy without being a member of BHW. What you are suggesting about charging people $50 a year fee to be able to buy, would deter many buyers. Moving the Marketplace out of public reach would kill off or damage a lot of services too.

BHW is the most secure forum marketplace out there, it's the only one that sellers need to have products/services reviewed prior to being able to sell. Other forums take the $30 or $50 listing fee and click a button to make a sales thread go live. I've seen sellers banned from here who are still active on other forums, kinda says a lot about those places.

This is the only forum where there's a Shitlist facility to help moderate any issues with services. many Shitlists are resolved before the threads are made live. This is usually down to a genuine error by a seller or a missed TAT.
The number of Shitlists would be reduced if members stopped buying from regular members ( ie yellow usernames ). An example of this is a guy who joined this month bought from another guy who joined less than 10 days ago, who sent him a PM offering to sell to him, cheap. It wasn't cheap as he took his money and never delivered.

Look, no matter, tell me the purpose of being seen on google with your SL?
If you are doing good, there is nothing to be afraid of.

You can't kill competition like that.. nah.

Price could be $35, ok I can't do so much replies with each person.
I got your point. Thanks.

Hi, let's assume buyer have to pay $35 annually to access the marketplace. ($50 maybe too much)
In my OP and #18 there is all the major info of this thread.

"If Shitlists went live immediately then competitors would be able to get 'friends' to create accounts on here just to open fake Shitlists against competing services. "

This won't be the case, you could ban them so quickly as soon the seller does a 5sec of video or gif to prove he did no business with the buyer.

Buy $35 (let's reduce) status, and get yourself banned (for life let's say) under less than 24 hours, get SL deleted. What is the purpose of attack? I don't see any.

"The marketplace is not hidden, people are able to buy without being a member of BHW. What you are suggesting about charging people $50 a year fee to be able to buy, would deter many buyers. Moving the Marketplace out of public reach would kill off or damage a lot of services too."

This part is the most risky one. Just for a record, everyone would be able to see the marketplace, but only the buyer status would be able to buy it. Could cost as low as $35 actually.

Sellers could still choose to add their Skype or something, so they can operate completely outside of BHW.
So anybody could become able to avoid everything. Not so bad I think.

However, all free members would not be able to send PM if they don't buy Marketace buyer status, which could be renamed into the BHW user status.

"BHW is the most secure forum marketplace out there, it's the only one that sellers need to have products/services reviewed prior to being able to sell. With my method, BHW can only increase this security (reduce the amount of scammed users) + for sure get some payments from the free users.
By the way, completely agree with you.

"This is the only forum where there's a Shitlist facility to help moderate any issues with services. many Shitlists are resolved before the threads are made live. This is usually down to a genuine error by a seller or a missed TAT.

My system of solving this is described, but here's the highlights.
(I can see enough of Jr Vips in SL)

Make SL public from start or in 24 hours (automatically)
If the buyer is fake, ban buyer, del SL.
If the seller is fake, this helps a lot + you can temp ban BST URL to become an warning image with a link to SL.
Whatever it was, it the buyer made fake SL, it cannot be enough to affect the seller.
The buyer will have to buy $35 worth of status to open SL and lose it under a day or two, within the account.

In additional, the seller should be active always (sat-sun no) so he can respond to SL.
This system would improve everything, but mostly the sellers.

I will have to re-edit this whole thread, and set another one, soon, because there will be a few more things to look at.

In the end, you would be able to use the paid (and the only one) market without paying if the seller has left any contact form. This also cannot be stopped due the same sellers are selling on other platforms.

However, I can assure everybody that some members would buy BHW User status of $35 to use the marketplace, use PM feature, setup SL if need, secure their own money.

There would be a system that works only for them, which is explained in the OP, while SL would be offline for 24-48 hours before going live, since weekend should be off for any seller.

I will mix it better, and you will see how it looks as soon as tomorrow.

When a SL thread outranks someone's BST or website, that will chase away a lot of buyers.

Price could be $35, ok I can't do so much replies with each person.
The price is not the issue here, it's the automatic soft-ban of the target.

In your OP, point 4 suggest automatically locking all the target's BSTs, and point 5 suggests making them unable to post elsewhere on the forum or reply to PMs, effectively making it a ban. And since the SL mods are not active every hour of every day, that could easily turn into a 2-3 day ban if everything is well timed, and even longer if fake proof is submitted.

Again, the cost is not the issue here. Some sellers are spending thousands per month on BHW ads alone, so $50 per disposable account is trivial by comparison.

UPDATE 2:

Marketplace remains paid.
Marketplace remains public/visible.
Anybody can still order from any seller if the seller gave you any contact form on the BST.
You don't have to have BHW account to be able to order services.

The buyer can choose to pay $35-50 fee annually to gain BHW User (or any name) status.
The buyer/BHW user status give: PM option, SL option, Auto-system that will keep you safe from scamming.
Auto-system will be triggered as soon as 1 member is potentially scammed, which will be determined upon max 3 days. (only if the scam was previously reported on Saturday)

The seller BST won't be outranked by SL on Google. Even if so, at least will be 404, not found.
SL against the seller will be OFF for 24-48-72 hours before it goes live.
The seller won't lose any options such as PM or being unable to answer under threads.

//The seller will get his BST temp closed with an image with link to SL, so anybody who replied to the thread will temp become unable to browse it or receive new notifications.
//This happens only if the seller can't refund the buyer under 24hours.
The seller must be able to refund the buyer under 24hours, this will be in terms of TAT and progress down the road.

I literally burned myself with this thread :) I have no idea what I have missed etc...
I will re-phase this thread tomorrow, as shorter and better as I can and do a vote poll near it as well.

Feel free to give me more suggestions.:anyway::weep: plz no:)

SL against the seller will be OFF for 24-48-72 hours before it goes live.
Which is exactly what we have now.

Essentially, your suggestion is that yellow-name members should pay a yearly fee to have the same protections and features they currently have for free.

//The seller will get his BST temp closed with an image with link to SL, so anybody who replied to the thread will temp become unable to browse it or receive new notifications.
Automatic deletion of paid ad space is still unacceptable. If I were renting ad space for a couple hundred a week, and I lost a couple days of that paid ad time due to an AutoModerator clone triggered by a single fraudulent report, that would be my last ad purchase.

The seller BST won't be outranked by SL on Google.
That's not how Google works, the mods and admins have no control over the Google ranking...

Final Update is done:

An escrow service on BHW as suggested on a previous thread should help resolve many issues
