Lets say I copied old site A content to site B. THen I removed site A and did a redirection to site B.

Should I copy site B and put as site A before I do the redirection? Does this matter if theres anything on site A for link juice flow?

Yes of course you do, to take advantage of the juice.

Why would you redirect a website to a blank website?

If I understand correctly, you don't need to remove the content from site A.

THanks Matt. But I wonder if I should put content there (on site A "first/old site" ) or it wont help.

I would normally put content on for a few weeks, make it similar to what it was before.
Let the site index, then 301

It can help, yes, but why just don't put it on site B?

Here's a scenario. I've purchased site A which has good content but I want to redirect it permanently to my site B.

I will redirect pages from site A to pages from my site B that are relevant and similar.
If site A has content that I don't have on my site B - say blog posts - I will copy those posts to site B and then redirect the pages from site A to the new posts on my site B.

    Does that make sense?

I like Matt, he's alright, I am just a fan.
