Hi all, newbie question. I just registered a domain at name.com and want to redirect it to my clickbank affiliate link.

The options for redirecting are:
masked URL forwarding
redirect url forwarding (302)
redirect url forwardng (301)

What's the difference between these and which one is the best?

Also there's a meta tags section, what do I enter in this?

Thanks

masked/iframed forwarding will cause it to show your url instead of the clickbank url.
301 forwarding is seen as a temporary redirect by search engines but people will see the clickbank url
302 forwarding is seen as a permanent redirect and search engines will store the new url and maybe ditch the old one dunno for sure. Same as with 301 people see your cb url.

Thanks. So I'm guessing then that masked forwarding is better since it doesn't show that you're an affiliate? Also do you have any idea as to what the meta tags should be?

I guess you should just get the meta tags of the landing page I assume the person that created it put some thought in it. if not just do some keyword research.

its the other way around... 301 is the permanent one..
