Hi, I bought a Domain and redirected them to my Site. After two days I lost all my relevant Rankings and now I only get 20% of the traffic before. So I decide to cancle the Redirect. This was one week ago, but the Rankings doesn't rise again.

How long does it take till Google recognize that the Redirect isn't there anymore?
Is there any possibility to get the Rankings back immediately?
Do you have an advice for a Black Hat Rookie like me, to handle this? :)

    Thanks!

go to google "submit url" and send the page that you redirected. then also send there the domain you were redirecting too (optionally). this way cancelation of 301 crawls immedietaly

Thx for the fast reply. I submitted both URL's now. I hope that the Rankings come back.

Is redirecting RPG's a tactic that works in 2017? It was my first try and I got a result I don't expected. The Domain has the same topic like the MS and I redirected to a page with exact the specific topic from the RPG Domain.

I think it have to be a spammy one. Before I bought the Domain I checked the Backlinks with ahrefs und Majestic. Majestich TF/CF Ratio was 1. The Anchors were clean and the Domain was indexed. So I thought it looks good and I can try them to redirect.

Is there additional a other possibility to check a Domain for Google Penaltys, before I buy them? :)

Just like with links, as soon as the juice is detected it is normal to bounce around for days at least. Perhaps you should have waited to see where it lands/ ends up. In the future you can test your redirect to another site in your serp before using it for your site. Yes time consuming but that is the best way to predict the effectiveness. btw , if it turns out that it tanks your site and dont come back then point it at your competition if it suites your work flow.

I observed the result for one week. At the beginning the Boost came, than the Rankings were fallen from day to day. A lot of Keywords the were into Top10 before, fallen out of the Serps. Main Keyword fallen from 1 to 16. So I stopped the redirect and start a new redirect at a Test Project of mine. Because I would find out wheter the redirected Domain is the problem. The interesting point, now the topic is absolutely irrelevant to the new Domain. In my opinion it can't be more senseless, but at this Domain the Rankings rising.
On the other side, the other Domain won't recover. Is there any experience how long does it take till the Domain comes back, or is this project dead?

not dead and the domain will come back. Perhaps the redirect is too relevant or has your exact anchors which overloaded the anchor profile? Perhaps you still should have waited another week knowing the domain will recover upon removal anyways? My rule, 2 to 3 weeks to see and feel the effect of adding one and or removing one. Interesting on the second domain; keep posting about it.

IMO, you should have waited more to see valid results. One week isn't enough to conclude. Making changes to your website really results to temporary decline in your ranking.

I agree, that was hasty. Ripples can happen that look lke drops for a few days, but then turn into up-trends. What is done is done, though now.

I think too, it was to early to decide as far as the redirect is concerned. I test the redirect since ~10 days at a other Domain. At this domain it could go down or up it makes no difference for me. Its just for learning ;)

But I found some reasons why the Domain fallen so hard.

    1. Negativ SEO - Someone sends spammy Links to me, I also found Duplicate Content from my Site.

My countermeasure: Daily use of Disavow Tool and send Spam Reports to Google if the Site clones my Content. Additionally I cleaned up my whole Linkprofil from past Links that doesn't look like a good Link.

    2. I believe my Domain got stuck into a filter.

90% of the pages from my Domain ranks really bad since 3 weeks. The other 10% stucks at the old rankings. So I tried to recover the 90% :)
On my Homepage I add 800+ Words and the article has now 3,5k+. I also changed Keyword Density to a lower quantity. Additionally I add Synonymes for the Moneykeyword. Than I let Google crawle my Site with an manuell request into GSC. Within 1 hour all my rankings are raising really fast to top. After 6-8 hours all rankings fallen back down to the ground.

Than I thought maybe Fred got me?! So I removed a lot of affiliate Links and repeated the manuell crawl request. Same happens again, for 6-8 hours on top than fallen again.

The interesting part for me is to see how Google ignores my Homepage (Homepage isn't in the Serps anymore) and rank up a Subpage with thin Content and the Moneykeword in it. Every Keyword that relates to my Homepage, also the Subpages are affected of Google's Penalty.

What I find out for myself...

-) Google is interested into to rank my Site for the Moneykeyword, but a filter blocks them immediately.

-) If I redirect the thin Content Subpage to my Homepage in the hope for a better ranking and fooling Google, Google change the Subpage I'm ranking before and I got worse rankings for the Monykeyword than before, because the Subpages has less Content than the redirected Subpage before.

-) One Year on top without Black Hat Strategies doesn't protect you from Google's Algo ;)

Maybe someone has the same Issues in the past and know what I have to do, for a recover? I'm grateful for every tip! :)
