I'm using a couple of parasite sites to rank and want to use the traffic to convert some affiliate sites.

I'm using Amazon and some niche specific affiliates.

Is it a good idea to shorten the affiliate links when linking to the product with like goo.gl? I read somewhere that Google and Web 2.0s don't like affiliate links and can cause de-index quicker.

EDIT: What's URL shortener do you guys recommend to track multiple links?

I would not use a google service for this. I would setup your own shortening domain. It's very easy and cheap to do. Checkout the software https://yourls.org/ it's free and pretty good. Setup is very simple.

link shorteners or cloakers will do the job, and yes I would use them just to be on the safe side.

Shortening certainly won't hurt depending on what web 2.0s/parasites you use, but like the demon suggested, use an own domain for it. Public services often unreliable and it sucks if the redirects to affiliate links on a page that ranks well suddenly stop working.

I should also add, if you don't want Google crawling your redirected affiliate links and you're running your own domain I would block all spiders/crawlers/bots using .htaccess file.

For Amazon affiliate links, you can use bit.ly or goo.gl I think they will allow that. For Blackhat links, use zuf.io
