Reddit Traffic

Wah Reddit hates me.
I posted one pic and it bringed to me some traffic, but after that all other pics never show up...
I tried diffrent accs and used proxy and still dont show up.
Someone know what that?

Your domain is probably blacklisted. No amount of proxies and different IPs will help.

And I think you're posting in the wrong section. Try the Social Networking subforum next time:

From my experience Reddit is really cool, they dont ban DOMAINS. What could have happened is that you have been blacklisted from a category.

This happens if you are constantly spamming a BUSY Category under Reddit. This is what newbies will do.

I mean you could easily get 2000 uniques a day by spamming sub categories, but if you keep spamming their main sections they will just ban you from that category..

First build karma, spam nature section with National Geography pics, then spam space section with NASA images, once you have some karma then go to sub categories and promote your stuff 2-3 times a week..

Always remember that its better to get 3k uniques a week than 100.. So do not spam them non stop specially HOT categories.. like in technology you will get banned after only 2-3 submits if they smell ur spamming..

so thats how reddit works...

I wasn't talking about domains being banned. When a domain gets put on a blacklist, it will not either 1) not accumulate karma or 2) even if it accumulates karma will not show up on the 'Whats New' page or the sub-reddit.

I've talked to Alex, Reddit founder about this once when one of my domains was accidentally blacklisted for some reason (thats what he told me). This happens when users mark your domain as spam.

What I am trying to say is that Reddit community is awesome they dont just get domains banned for no reason and it is one of the only sites where I have seen any random user get frontpage, whereas on Digg only power Diggers hit the frontpage..

But anyways they do blacklist which i guess is banned..

You're absolutely right about that.

That's why I always think its better to just hit up a power digger and ask him/her to submit... can be a breeze to get a frontpage if you know what type of content to create.

Wierd, I didnt spam, i posted 1 in pic section
and after 24 hours i posted again a new pic
and that pic never show up...

how can users mark your domain as spam ?
