I was wondering if anyone had thought about of using thanks to push better articles to the top? (Maybe freshness + # of thanks)
Forum
- Thread 1 (100 thanks / updated hour ago)
- Thread 2 (1000 thanks / updated 3 days ago)
- Thread 3 (15 thanks / updated 2 hours ago)
Also it would be nice to comment threads, where instead of having reading all the comments in a thread to find one response to a specific comment it just shows all responses below. Comments that are most useful are pushed to the top.
Main thread message
> Comment 1 (thanked 10 times)
> Comment 2 (thanked 5 times)
>> RE: Comment 2
> Comment 3 (thanked 1 time)
> Comment 4 - ect (thanked no times)
I think this would help people get answers quicker and not have to ask the same questions over and over.
Not a web developer but I think this could be accomplished with existing data.
