So the hosting im with has been fucking hacked for the second day in a row after i have done what they advised of updating wordpress and adding the timthumb plugin.

So im thinking it might be they whove dorpped the ball.

Can anyon reocmend other uk hosting that mgiht be more secure.

i didnt really shop aorund at the time and just went with the first i came across.

They only seem like a small company so thinking it might be an issue with their own security causing this to happen.

I went with hostpapa but they warned me its usually the site owners fault not the hosting when you get hacked.

Thing is tho i wasnt the only one that got hacked on the old hosting so that indicates that the hosting in particular was targeted no?

I asked them if it could have been a vulnerability on their end and they said no because they have wordpress sites themselves which didnt get hacked.

Hostpapa costs twice the price which is fine if the price means more security but its gonna be annoying if it sitll doesnt fix it.

Im using a cracked version of adsnese ctr theme so wondering if that might be how they got in. Sine it wasnt just my sites that got hacked it wont be the theme itself prob but rather perhaps that it isnt up to date.

    Dunno.

Guess I'm gonna have to trial and error it like usual.
