Please share with me the best SEO provider which delivered the best SEO results for your website. Also would be great if you tell more what results was, for example in 1 month my 10 keywords has move to first page from 10 page. And also share the price you have paid. THANK YOU :)

    Here comes the self promotion.

Asking wont help its to much bias, you just have to test the service for yourself or ask someone privately that has tested the service.

There was a service I used a year back, they were based in Dubai. Very good, I got ranked and everything but they only do SEO for certain types of niches. If you're intested I'll try to pull up their email and stuff.

Gonna give you some tips and rant a little bit ;)

Unfortunately you are indeed right, there is a lot sad Santa Barbara-like stories of people getting scammed and/or disappointed. And here is why that happens.

SEO consists of two things: on page and off page. Both these things include tens of factors that might affect your ranking one way or another.

Now why SEO might not work.

The freelance websites are full of job ads like this "I need super SEO for my website". Then you go and see that website is about selling some luxurious products or services with very high potential income. Initial assessment shows that the website is around 100k pages and is rather crappy: spammy texts, bad internal linking, lots of basic thngs like breadcrumbs are missing etc. The backlinking profile of this website is virtually nonexistent. At the same time the competition is very high, top competitors have over 10k referral domains and you realize you will have to spend few thousand bucks for linkbuilding campaign alone. And the linkbuilding itself is gona take at least 6 months. Now you carefully describe all that and make a highly detailed and elaborate offer to this potential client, with the cost of on page around $1k and around $2k per month for linkbuilding. And then the potential client says "ARE YOU MAD? I CAN'T AFFORD SUCH PRICES!!!111oneone The budget for this project is $300!!!!!!!!". So this guy potentially can make huge $$$ but he intends to invest only $300 to join the biggest players on the market? Really? And what's even more funny is that at the same time you see tens of wannabes SEO-specialists, the next one gives the cheaper price than the previous and promises to push this website to top-3 within a month.

Now how much would they do for $300 bucks? Would they spend at least a weak scanning this website both with automated tools and manually? Would they also go throught a checklist of around half a hundred of factors and would ensure that all of them are implemented? Would they rewrite all the texts? Would they have enough financial means for quality linkbuilding campaign? I don't think so. For on page they either do nothing or implement a few things at best. As for off page, the best they can do is nothing, in most cases those SEO suicide bombers cause massive link explosions (through services which provide dirt cheap real crappy backlinks), and that is a shortest way to getting under google penalty.

And then the owners of these websites say that SEO doesn't work, SEO is scam etc. But I would say they get what they paid for.

Now do not get me wrong, price is a bad indicator of quality. I our practice we saw real crappy work of major SEO service providers. Problem with big companies is that they often work as a conveyor, specialists have more than 10 projects at once and they simply are unable to give proper attention to all projects. But people still buy it.

At the same time we have one client who sells very particular and specific industry equipment. He has less than 20 products and low competition. His products are very specific and very expensive, affordable only by big industry players. But we charged this client less than $500 for on page and $300 for off page (for six months) because we could put him to top 1 with minimal efforts and we don't have the guts to scalp people just because they can pay.

What should you do whey you search for SEO guy or provider:

    - ask your candidate to provide you with the list of on page factors (it should be no less than 30). This is a bad indicator alone, cause some important things might be missing, but still.
    - the offer of your candidate should include: the list of works for on page SEO, at least partical semantic kernel with the searches per month (to give you rough understanding of your market), the approx % of that traffic which you might get, evaluation of competitors, the estimation of backlinks number you will need to buy, very approximate evaluation of your ranking in 3, 6, 9 and 12 months (for each industry and each website this estimation will always be different).
    - ask your potential company or seo-guy to show you their recent projects and then check their traffic with ahrefs (or similar service). Again this might not be objective since traffic != sales and increase in traffic might mean decrease in conversion and in this case such seo campaign is ineffective.
    - try to get in touch with the owners of those recent projects and ask them about their experience. This might be tricky and the information you get could not be completely correct.

So the bottomline, its a hell of a task to find a good SEO service. I'm afraid this is the best piece of advice I can give you.

True words. It would be excellent to have honest comparisons between SEO services, but that's not going to happen because someone will always take advantage of the situation.
