Recently, there comes a lot of .edu and .org's links of my competitor's website

    Recently, there comes a lot of .edu and .org's links of my competitor's website, and most of the link's PR are between 5 to 7. But as I know the web of '.edu' won't do links for other site so easily, I want to know how does him did it? Is there anyone who can help me ?

    Might of paid an SEO company, some companies make this sites and get them a high PR for the sole purpose of adding links to increase a customers backlinks and PR.

    Look up your competitor with a backlink checker just google it and look at the anchor (words in the hyperlink) and look at the webpage. If they are just comments on a blog you can easily add a comment and in effect just use him to get yourself some good links.

    What niche are you in anyway?

    .edu wont link to other sites if we ask them to yes, but don't count on it, if you search there are lots of .edu sites that we can put links.

    Many universities offer their students to create blogs in their subdomains, so find them, leave comments there.
    There are also .edu forums.
