I found a website that puts recent forum posts on their main page. The problem is they moderate their forums pretty strictly. I just made a good informative post but put a period, ".", as the anchor text lol. Will that trip google that its a black hat type technique? The problem with just using random words in my posts as anchor text is they have the page styled so link text is a big orange font that will make the spam stick out like a sore thumb. lol 
I guess I could also attempt to put a smiley face image as the anchor text... would that be better?
