    Bigfoot is a hoax.

And the longer the hoax goes on the more hoaxes there will be.

If it ever seems like the bigfoot videos are real it's only because todays advancements in technology makes faking vidoes easier each day. Therefore the hoaxes will continue and probably get better which makes even more people believe the nonsense.

I think you speak from gut feeling rather than any knowledge on the subject, as most people do.

    I speak from common sense.

There is no way that any living species on this earth has managed to outsmart humans for this long.

If that was the case, then we would have much bigger problems.

Hilarious how Bigfoot, aliens, ghosts, loch ness monster, god, etc. was seen every day by people in the 90s/early2000's, now that damn near everyone has a camera/camcorder on their phone that's with them almost all the time they suddenly stopped.

Would that that be the same "common" sense that once caused the uninformed to believe that the earth was flat?

It doesn't have to outsmart humans due to humans consistently outsmarting themselves with unsubstantiated declarations based upon nothing.

How, for instance do you explain the oral history and folklore of native american tribal groups such as the Algonkian, Penutian, Chimakuan, Hokan-Coahiltecan, Iroquoian, Wakashan, Tanoan, Aztec-Ianoan, Siouan-Yuchi, Salish (40 or more tribes are represented by these groups), and many others, which all have a common thread of giant hairy man-like creatures that inhabit the deepest forests of North America. Much of this folklore pre-dates European settlement and some is even of Pre-Columbian extraction.

How also do you explain the thousands of eye-witness reports related over more than two centuries. Even Teddy Roosevelt had a second- hand account to tell as far back as the early 1900's. Google for it.

The first recorded sighting by a person of European descent was in 1811 by David Thompson. But maybe he was hoaxing way back then.

@Tymillz, I stay away from Mount Shasta and its environs unless it is daytime and I'm with a group. That place can be dangerous especially after dark. Mount Shasta has long been a sort of special territory for these creatures and here, it seems, they are very aggressive. The first nation people I know won't venture there either

    Please explain more.

I think I may travel there one day myself. Just to get a first hand experience.

What i mean when I say that the area around Mt. Shasta can be dangerous is this. The area has apparently had a large Sasquatch population for hundreds of years according to first nation legends. The creatures are reported to be more territorial here than anywhere else in Washington state.

Visitors to the immediate area may encounter ungodly screams, wood-knocking sounds echoing through the forest, large rocks being thrown, dead trees being pushed over, stalking, you name it. Don't even think about using a firearm to scare these things, it only makes them angrier (but do pack some power just in case).

They are familial in nature so if you shoot one, his mom, dad, or brother will be right there in the same area and you will never get out of the forest alive. Over the last ten years several hunters have never been seen again after hunting this area. Don't camp overnight near Mt. Shasta. This is just my opinion.

Everybody loves a good bigfoot joke. I know i do (witness my username). But when you are out in certain areas of remote wilderness in this country, you may find the subject of bigfoot all too serious. But most people won't have to worry about that because they will wait until bigfoot shows up on their doorstep selling encyclopedias before they investigate the matter. Until then they will confidently declare that there is no such thing.

BTW, sorry to cast the sour note of credibility on this subject when everybody was having such a good time. So if possible, carry on with the bigfoot funny stuff hee hee ha ha and all that rot.
