    Hi all,

I'm obviously not that experienced with YouTube, but I've been putting some various ones up and just got an email from them saying they're possibly eligible to earn revenue and be monetized, and I'm going through the steps and it looks like it's connecting my YouTube with my Adsense.

I'm curious is this common for YouTube to do with its users?

I was actually just going to switch to Metacafe or something so I can get paid for the views - if anyone knows about THAT, I'd love to hear! I'm not setting any viewer records on fire, but the girl in my avatar gets a fair amount of YouTube hits for all her videos, so making as much money as possible from that just makes sense, and it seems like Metacafe is a good option.

Thanks given! Yes, I've seen those, I just never paid a TON of attention to a few factors...where the ads/links were, or what type they were...or how popular or big the video/channel I was on...

So I wasn't sure if it was given out on a case-by-case basis, or for every user who hits a certain minimum threshold of views or videos submitted or what.

I got one recently. They link it to your adsense account (assuming you have one). Be sure you pick which videos you monetize, (it doesn't automatically monetize them all.) If you have any copyrighted content that isn't yours or if your running bots or anything on a video, don't monetize it.

Agreed, use adsense. Some of my videos just have a couple hundred plays, and I got that partnership. I think it's good because that "x" is so small, that a lot of people accidentally click on your ads. #win.
