Hey guys I was just wondering if anyone is getting comment spam on their blogs with ReCaptcha installed?

It looks like someone has hacked or something. I am getting tons of comments from guys with viagra and some other adult stuff.

They are not trackbacks I have disabled all trackbacks.

They are actual comments with anchor text linked back to places or lots of links to adult sites.

I am not sure if its Xrumer but as far as I know Xrumer cannot crack Recaptcha yet.

    Anyone facing same issue?

Xrumer has built in catcha feature. Even if it cannot break recaptcha, some one can buy manual captcha labor systemetically. It is time may be for you to change to different method for antispam

Recaptcha is so fucking weak. Their fancy format means nothing. As long as there's screen capture, captcha cracking will always be possible. The reason it is weak is because they believe their format makes the captcha unretrievable, and their font is the most coherent and readible of all captchas. It is the best thing now though since spammers mostly still have to pay to have recaptcha processed. There's nothing more you can do except adding smart systems such as pictures and questions, and frequently updating it.
