Facebook demands a unique approach to to grab the initial attention of the user, because there is not as much intent in the click. But this can also be very enjoyable when devising your campaigns, enabling creative strategies.

I targeted men exclusively, which is less often the case in this niche.

April, but more significantly starting May, through the end of july was the time I sent traffic from facebook ads in any significant volume. Beginning August policy changed and I haven’t ran with them since then nor have I found an alternative that can effectively back out the clicks from any presale with a high enough performance rate to get me close enough to profitable.

My angle was entirely derived through a spouse infidelity predicate, which is used by most publishers across many ad platforms, as well as the site owner doing the same in this case. I used my specialization in Facebook ads to take a swing at what was otherwise unrepresented in my venue.

I ended up settling into a tame angle, putting a large amount of spend through banners like this

Heres some examples of different ads I devised so you can see the general theme

But this (see below) hands down was the best banner image I was able to find, this ad and variations of it were the best I could achieve in terms of bottom line, and I could never replicate its essence no matter how many banner images I tried (north of 1,000 over a few months)

I ended up focusing on it entirely even though it was less profitable, because I wanted to build a bridge to better possibilities. The site I was sending my traffic to, had no stake in facebook ads as far as I could research. But after they made changes to their policy about allow publisher creatives/presales, and required their own exclusively, they also expressed to me that they no longer wished to continue doing business with me, when I proposed my own for their approval. I noticed a significant shift to taboola referral traffic to their site around this time, and inevitably Facebook. I noticed this ad quite frequently

Which at times led to this lander, after they had made the policy changes about publisher presales, and requiring a separate one of their development to be used, which I was unsuccessful with and eventuaally moved on, I was never able to try this one though so I can't speak to its efficacy, although it does seem like a solid funnel for my angle

Thats all for now I hope you found it interesting

The funny ones didnt really. Its just that one pic where the couple is in bed snuggling under covers, that one was by far the best performing image I ever used
