"Google U and Youtube U" I have hard of the terms above and I want to say most commonly in "Shark Tank" Where the pitch person goes on about how they taught them selves EVERYTHING they needed to know by watching Youtube videos or surfing Google articles. The problem is, as a rule, any person that tells you I can teach you X but only for 1000, I swear. I find rediculous. I find them leeches, because they know that they are targeting people who can't afford this, but the jewel is just so pretty the person finds a way, a credit card, or a loan, and tried the method. Then goes into debt because in the end the entire idea of you will in a month or two find a product so you can make the money back to pay for the loans is just crazy.
I am pretty sure we could all list the names of the best known ones, but piece of advice, if a guru lures you in with an hour long promo of a system that costs over 500 to buy? It's a sham, 100% So, I began to write this whole thing off, yes there are reddit threads and google blogs but where do you even begin to look? Because looking on youtube will bring these guys up, and I don't trust them so that was that. Then, on an off chance I started watching an episode of the profit. I don't deem that host a scammer anymore then the sharks, its his money on the line and if you are not willing to work, he will tear the agreement up.
So, I have to say on a episode of the show I saw him bring one of the gurus to help... Russell Brunson, and I feel like there are a group of , better known gurus, and he is one, that work together or know each other at least. So, if Marcus is saying Russell Brunson is legit, there has to be truth there. This rant is actually a question in disguise. I can accept you can't be a enrepeneur over night, you need to have skills to offer and that usually involves courses or training of at least a month. Outside of building a reputation by offering your services to help people realize you are a good person to trust.
Even on youtube, a gaming channel or blog, you have to take time to get learn to edit, and produce the things then, build a following with good content on a regular basis (figure a year at least) For my end? I would LOVE to consult, but I feel like what I do best is craft, and even there I don't really know what to do with that. So, I would again be all for turning to a site to read or watch how someone else has done my idea, I can get tips and tricks to incorporate or at least learn if its a thing I can actually do. So, through this my real question is, is there value to the Universities of Social media, and if there are, is there a way to find that value with out facing scams, or losing a channel because of a bigger name not liking that I may have used one point they did in video 4 years ago that no one remembers. Long and the short is what I came to this site for origianally, how and where do you find the information online that can help lead you to success, or is it even really worth it to try. Sorry, i turned into a rant but I have been bothered quite a bit about the above, so if you made it this far, thanks for reading, I hope either it helps you, or you can help me, or some mix of the two.
