    Hi all,

i was doing analysis about a keyword, checked backlinks of a guy who is number one in google for this keyword with a prlog.org press release - he has about 800 backlinks according to yahoo. Most of his backlinks are profile backlinks like this one

    Code:
    http://www.ugether.com/pg/profile/freephonespy
In his profiles on different pages, he has always a short niche related article with about 4 links to his 4 similar prlog.org pages - each of them is first in google for some keyword. He has also some non-related blog comment backlinks.

My question is - how the hell he did that? He has always different short article on each of almost 600 profile pages (in "Bio" or "About me" section) - dont tell me he did them manually :) Is outsourcing the answer? And what tool could he use to find those profiles? Xrumer? I have Sick submitter and i think it can create just forum profile backlinks....

I suppose it is someone from BHW anyway :)

    thanks

He is probably using link in tiers structures. You won´t see all backlinks, since not all of them point straight to him.

He prolly has another huge 'hidden' tier of backlinks to link to these links you are seeing.

    That´s my bet.

Source: It´s how I do it.

EDIT: I´m 99,9% sure this is his main site, try to figure out why:
    Code:
    http://www.clubmz.com/
If you still don´t get it, ask =)

If it's 600 completely different articles then presumably he either made them himself or outsourced the work. If they are similar, then he could have deep-spun the article I suppose, which seems worth it if it's really working for him.

Sorry for the double post but...

That is a great idea, it's just opened my mind up to something that might work for a backlinking campaign. Thanks for the info :)

Sure i know its his main page since all these 4 prlog.org press releases point to it! I know it is link pyramid or something like this...but i dont know how the heck he did that - so many different short articles! Just look at backlinks to these 2nd tier prlog.org pages...and is it necessary to write such articles in profiles? why not just put links with anchor text in "about me"? Can it make some difference?

    On the spot.

Not might mate, it does. Back it up with indexing RSS feeds containing your link urls everywhere so these feeds get crawled.

1 - Random link structures often resemble pyramids but thats not a rule.
2 - Software. Automate forum registering-email verif-profile editing / blog commenting / blog account creating and posting.
3 - Spintax, the best spinner, spinnerchief, google them.
    4- Not necessarily.
5- So that the link is embraced on a context with related keywords
6-Maybe, who knows. I personally do not do it, but sounds like that little extra mile the guy wanted to walk. Good for him if it works.

    Best of luck.

It's really really simple software that creates accounts on sites running the elgg platform. Don't overthink it. The content is just some markov'd garbage, but google doesn't know the difference. It's A LOT better to put a link in context, so no reason not to. Identical to the code everyone has been using for many years. The links are do follow (obviously).

There is no additional link spamming needed. All the link juice originates comes from the elgg site.

The links are going to the press releases because he's using the authority of the press release site in combination with the links from the profiles to rank the actual press release pages. In this type of thing you're not trying to rank your money site.

It's short term stuff but it doesn't take long to set up at all. A few hours to write the code at most then it's totally auto pilot. You just need a keyword list.

Thanx for your comments. I dont think these are spinned articles, every "profile article" is completely different. It seems like it is "markov'd garbage" as dannyhw said - never heard about this before.

    - what software are you talking about? I think you can create elgg profiles with SickSubmitter, but i dont have such template...
