I just came across this real-time map of cyber-attacks.

It's developed by a US security company called Norse and shows the origin of the attack, the target and the type of attack.

    It's very well done.

That's interesting, but these are probably "estimated" attacks based on previous statistics, not real time stuff. They probably don't have access to all that real time data, unless of course they're the three letter people.

They say it is in real-time.

"Every second, Norse collects and analyses live threat intelligence from darknets in hundreds of locations in over 40 countries," explains the company.

    This is is cool!

I'm kinda curious how they say it's real time too. I still think it's cool even if the data is not real time.

It was showing that google (8.8.8.8) was attacking something. They could probably filter this a lot better, but nice idea I guess.

LOL, This reminds me of the PC Game "Uplink"? I think that's the name.

Pretty much you had to hack into different servers, and route it through different locations. Haven't even thought of that game for 8 years until now. The graphics are almost the same :)

It is, in fact, real time. However, it is only a very small part of attacks, as it's only displaying attacks that are logged by Norse honeypots. The real picture is way more impressive.
