Im all ready to go I have all my plans set, but...

I have no idea what to "sell" or "promote"

    Cheers...Im thinking of
    making a weight loss site
having a ejunkie product on there for sale
automating some posts related to it
    have google adds
    some cpa offers

    as for traffic
    facebook, twitter, articles etc.

Im going to buy a domain (when I pick what i want to promote) and use free hosting.. is this okay?

Are you a member of any CPA networks? What method do you plan to use to promote? Which demographic do you think you can best connect with? Are you planning on using PPC? If so, are you going to direct link or use landing pages / minisites / blogs? Do you already own any PLR content or have parked domains that you could tap?

Your question is missing a lot of background info that would make it easier to answer.

The short answer, though, is JUST FRICKIN' PICK SOMETHING AND GET TO WORK!

Just join clickbank and take a look at one of the thousands of products available. Should give you some decent niche ideas.

Also try and snag an exact match domain (.com or .net work best) for whatever the main keyword is for your niche (I find avoiding hyphens and .info's makes a big difference. This will make ranking ten times easier. You'll also want to pick the right set of keywords based on search volume. Don't go crazy, something between 20k and 100k/month with less than 500k search results for an "allintitle:" and or "quotes" search is a good niche. Good luck!

Personally I've never used free hosting and when I tried back in the day they were all sooooo slow. I find that site5 and the other cheapo shared hosting solutions are fine for most needs and then when you start getting a bigger portfolio of sites and lots of traffic a dedicated server comes in handy. For the sake of $100 for an unlimited account with site5 you might as well shell out for it! If you do make sure you look for a coupon and hit the close button on the checkout so it applies a discount ;)

Keyword research is the most important.
