Hello everyone! I am looking to make some valuable friends on this forum. I have known about BHW for years and have visited and read posts.

A little about myself. I am 31 and Manage a very successful restaurant. I have been in the restaurant industry for 15 years in different establishments. I have seen and done it all in the industry, everything but own my own. That was my goal, my endgame. However over the last year that goal has changed. I am getting married in a month and a half, I have 2 dogs at home and a mortgage. I make enough money to live comfortably however it's at the cost of my free time and my sanity.

Everyone wants to escape the 9-5 grind i want to escape the 9am-11:30pm or the 10:30am-10:30pm grind 5 days a week (weds-sunday). I have lost friendships and missed out on so many family events over the years that I am ready for it all to change. I want to bring a child into this world but I cannot fathom how to do that being in this Industry. I forgot to mention my fiance does the same thing as me and the same hours at a different restaurant.

All that being said I have always dabbled in certain things to make money. Some of my past experiences include.

-Selling digital items in Diablo 2 via Ebay with a use of a ingame bot that would run a boss for me and pick up the items i wanted. Leave the game make a new game rinse and repeat while I was at school or work.

-When "how to E-books" were new on Ebay I would purchase hot selling ones with reseller rights and resell.

-I used to burn on a DVD complete Japanese Manga series subtitled in English and sell them on Ebay. This got my account suspended in 24hrs.

-I sold Android boxes locally by importing from China when they were first new in 2014.

I have some great ideas and am looking forward to starting this next journey in my life.

Feeling you buddy I'm 33 and have been in the restaurant game most of my adult life nothing worse than leaving home at 8am and returning after midnight only to have to do it all again the next day, and the next. Hopefully you are now back on ebay and able to sell, but if not and you need any help getting back on I would be glad to assist. You can even buy an account from an approved member here(I'm not sure how that works but I'm sure senior members can enlighten you) but learning to make your own accounts is a godsend. Good luck in your endeavors.

I have a new Ebay account, that was a very long time ago that I got it suspended. It's a hectic lifestyle no proper breaks, eating at improper times of the day or depending how busy it is sometimes not eating at all.

Yeah I totally understand you'd think we would get fed being a restaurant an all, my manager regularly gets nosebleeds in work he is that stressed out, you really can't put a price on your sanity. And nothing worse than the summer holidays when masses of kids descend on your establishment.

Yes I've been studying SEO every chance I can. Getting married in 3 weeks so busy with that aswell as my job. While studying if I don't understand a term i write it down and then study that specific term.

I feel SEO and website building is my first two steps to know. Then I will build my website and market it and rank it myself.

I have thought of Dropshipping, blogging, affiliate marketing and even a local SEO and Website business. Like I said I'm still studying and taking it a step at a time.

Hi, I feel you, I also want to get out of the grind and be ''my own boss'' sort of speak. Something that I want to try out, as it is sort of in my sphere, is android apps with paid installs, advertisements and so on. Good luck!

so you want to trade a successfull 50h biz for an "unknown" startup, that will make you work 80h/week for 0 returns for the next 6-12 months?

    cool story bro.

why dont you sell some stuff about your restaurant? like "how to ... " books in your niche?
