Think and Grow Rich - Napolean Hill
A great starting point. While inspirational/motivational books like The Secret are a little too 'touchy feely' for my taste - Think and Grow Rich offers similar direction but includes actionable steps to 'grow rich'. A must read.

Ogilvy on Advertising - David Ogilvy
Take-away: Always use easy-to-read typeface, provide valuable content, continually research your market, and be sure to find some controversy.

Barbarians at the Gate - The Fall of RJR Nabisco - Bryan Burrough & John Helyar
Quality writing that reads like a novel. Think Wolf of Wall Street but "legal" and successful.

Guerrilla Marketing - Jay Conrad Levinson
Fairly basic guide with valuable tools and tips.

A Short History of Nearly Evertyhing - Bill Bryson
Science and technlogy are critical to our economy and future. Good read with more valuable information than many degrees.

What are your goals? I went through a phase of 'book learnin' - reading everything on everything from investment banking, naked economics, freakonimics, on democracy, aiming at amazon, influence, dog tricks 101, the weather makers, sustainable energy, and a lot more.

Happy to help any member with direction. I worked with a company that worked together to high schools so I would constantly give away books to students. They would be amazed how they never learned this in their classes :)

Also I avoided books that BHW members are likely familiar with:

The 4 Hour Work Week - Tim Ferris
Blue Ocean Strategy - W. Chan Kim & Renee Mauborgne
Aiming at Amazon - Aaron Shephard
Rich Dad; Poor Dad - Robert Kiyosake
7 Habits of Highly Effective People - Covey
    The Tipping Point - Gladwell

Next up on my personal list:
    Selling the invisible
    Buffet
nothing to lose everything to gain

Would love to hear member suggestions and thoughts!

For writing sales copy, hands down the best books are Ca$hvertising (best) and The Ultimate Sales Letter. Everything that's come out since then borows heavily from these.

+1 here. I still read everything in paper, I'm just too sentimental I guess.
