OK, computers are getting really fast these days. If you have one that has more than 4GB of RAM , you must make sure that you have a 64 Bit Windows installed. This is because a 32 Bit Windows operating system will only support 4GB of RAM. The rest will be useless. Also, even some basic versions of 64 Bit Windows like Windows 7 64 Bit will also only support 4GB of RAM. So, choose a operating system that will be able to take full advantage of your hardware. You can check if all your RAM is being used by right clicking on "My computer" icon and then by going to properties. If any RAM is being unused, it will say so in your computer description summary.
