    Hi,

since I am terrible at writting, I am usually just rewritting content from different websites.
But now I wonder how unique they have to be from the original?

A percent number would be really nice... on other forums I have read 70% uniqueness, however I donĀ“t trust them.
    So whats your oppinion?

I've ranked sites in competitive niches using nothing more than AB articles. They come back from copyscape around 70% unique (i.e. some articles have 30% dupe).

For your money site or backlinks?

If it is your money site, you need to be 100% unique.

For backlinks, I aim for 90% or better for tier 1.

I will tell you what worked for me.

    1. When it comes to the content from my money website the best results I had with100% unique articles. The ones with 70-80% performed fine but not great on Google.

    2. For 1st Tier, articles with 50-70% uniqueness were just fine.

    3. Make sure they are readable and they don't look made for Google bot.

As long as you stick to these numbers you should be just fine.

If I may, for 1st tier I had trouble to rank with 50% uniqueness articles. Once I switched to 70% uniqueness my rankings started rising. Same for my money website, 100% uniqueness did the trick.

    Different niches have different needs.

If it's for your money site and you really care about that site then I wouldn't consider anything less than 100%.

As for tier1 as I wrote above I have ranked with less than 70% on some niches. But in general I go for 70%+ on most niches.
They are some niches I have sites in that I consider authority sites that even for tier1 I go for 90%+!

Consider experimenting a little to see what is good for your niche.
