Hey guys, I saw this article on Entrepreneur and thought some might find it useful.

It looks into popular colours among women and men, which ones they do/don't like and which colours led to higher conversions.

I know this won't be that useful to most people but hopefully it'll help someone :p

True true. But, there is some science to color and its effect on the mind when perceived. Each color actually triggers a reaction in your brain. Yellow? Serotonin gets fired. Red? Gets the adrenal gland going and etc.

And in the end it all depends on HOW you utilize these colors. A 90s site with a mash of colors like some chemistry class gone wrong, is not going to do much but confuse your visitors because there is no clear pipeline for the colors to communicate themselves to the user because they keep bumping up against each other. But colors that are layed out throughout your page with depth, rhythm and composition in mind... that's when colors get to do some David Copperfield magic :).

bright, energizing colors help to catch the eye and motivate the prospect more than cold colors in my experience. except for finance lol.

Black white or gray. People don't like sites with lots of bright colors.

I've read somewhere that if you do attend important meetings, be sure to wear green, lol. Idk but it seems it "increases conversions" IRL yo!

I always attend all meetings dressed as Robin Hood except on Dress Down Fridays when I wear my Hulk costume.

Maybe so. I've heard of the same thing too, but how true is it? What if you attend an online conference?

I'm wondering how blue + green could look like. Seems that these colours are the most popular among men, but I believe it would be hard for designer to combine them all together :) However, thanks for sharing this article, it was really useful :)

Good thing to pay attention to. In my opinion, color picking is sadly undervalued these days.

You appreciate your post, Yes psychology of colors is very important in building of web pages as you can seen the "blue" color of facebook. Many experiments has been proved that due to blue color it attracts more people and signup become difficult for users.

Colors should be used to highlight some features of the website .Like a button or an offer . But in the rest i'd like to keep it classy : 2 -3 colours maximum and quality content makes the job .

Anyway great article and great examples!
