I am not a US citizen, but I'd like to get a US bank account and a company incorporated in the US - for accepting payments using Stripe. Stripe has a service called Atlas where they help people in other countries to start a company in the US and get a bank account too. This service costs $500 and you can find more details here

https://stripe.com/atlas

https://stripe.com/docs/atlas

I'd like to know if anyone living outside USA has used this service to successfully incorporate a company in the US and get a bank account too. I'd appreciate your feedback.

Thanks,

Sikandar

I have used amerilawyer (recommended by @BassTrackerBoats ) and it has worked awesome so far!

This should have helped you find the answer to one of your earlier questions. If you have a LLC (or corporation), then you can simply open a business bank account to use with Stripe. If you're not in the USA, then honestly partnering is your best option. Unless you're willing to be a bit more nefarious.

I know this thread is old. But how and where do you find a partner? And since the payment gateway will be operating with their details, can't they make away with all the funds?

You should have checked the last activity of the user you are asking this question to. His last activity was 9 months ago.

This is called Manager-managed and you will struggle to open a bank account this way nowadays. Virtually all banks will want to know and be able to identify who the members are, as well as the managers.

There are 3 ways to open a physical bank account in the US:

1) You go there in person (2 forms of ID required)
2) You get an ITIN (IRS will need to verify your passport or two forms of ID) and then some banks will allow you to remotely open an account
3) You use the services of an introducer (costs anything from $2,500-$5,000) who will verify who you are and open the account remotely
