I get those too! I sit there trying to picture the person who sends these. They're either absolutely retarded or against making money with their spamming. The messages are SO offensive or ludicrous. Let's start posting some of the real winners, just for shits and giggles.

LOL, this is very funny, it is a good ad copy also. I dont understand why humans dont understand that it is not easy as the ads say but they get there ass up and go buy.

Well, yeah, that email looks funny and the English is poor but...............

Think about it for a minute; it got through and the link included could be clicked on by a potential buyer.

The last line at the bottom is there simply to confuse filters and add content to the email which will help it get through.

The mailer is most likely mailing from a bot so his costs are like zero.

Figger this................................

Your mailer sends 50 millions emails; 40 mill get through, .0001% click through to "Buy Now"........that's 4000.

4000 x $40 = $160,000.00.

Oh, please do not misunderstand me here!

I'm not saying the messages are OK, that they are acceptable or that the messages are anything but crap.

The point that I'm making is that the content is actually very well researched and although the recipients may not like the emails, the fact is that enough of them work to make the sending of such ridiculous crap very, very profitable.

Even the "Needeldick" emails will strike a chord with a certain segment of the population very much in the manner of the old "90 lb weakling" print ad campaigns of the body building courses which ran profitably for years in comic books and other mainstsream magazines.

Although many of the authors of such emails have problems with the language, those problems actually seem to help the emails get by spam filters so they are capitalising on that fact.

I don't support what they do and we can poke fun at them all we want but what they are doing WORKS and they get paid, no matter how silly or offensive the emails may seem.

In my earlier post I was merely trying to point out that what these guys are doing works and worls very well and that the content of the emails may well be much better thought out that one might first think.

Wrong. If you've ever read a book on copywriting or sales you'd know that you don't come right out and insult a potential customer. The 90 LB Weakling ad doesn't insult the person reading it. The guy presents himself as a 90 LB Weakling so that you can empathize with him if you have the same problem.

Now I'm aware of anti-marketing, vis a vis "The Rich Jerk" - but this is a different can of worms. You can't just shotgun someone in the face with a needledick remark without qualifying further...I mean, that's pretty harsh. Catch more flies with honey.

Much truth to what you say but "negative marketing" does have its place. Having over 25 years experience in most aspects of retail and large ticket items I found that the fastest way to get a guy to buy something like a hot rod sports car was to challenge his manhood in subtle ways and tell him that the car is too much for him.

The moment the size of his cojones is placed into question, the testosterone takes over and he gets the "I'll show you!" attitude and he will then do ANYTHING to get the car!

Sometimes this technique is used as a last resort and other times it's the opener, depending on the demeanor of the customer.

I've seen it work any number of times and it's crazy!

Believe it or not, insulting the customer or questioning his manhood can be very, very effective ways to close the sale and this peculiar aspect of the male personality is what the penis pill merchants are counting on.

There are similar techniques which work well with women.

Now few of us around here respond positively to such techniques as we are for the most part, pretty rational and reasonable people; thinking with our brains and knowledge, NOT with emotion!

Again, I'm not saying that these techniques are necessarily appropriate or deiserable; only that such techniques can be very effective if properly used and I think that these guys are targeting that group which responds to such negative selling.
