I'm starting an SEO website and business with a friend, we've actually have been doing it for a while but are going to make a website and name. Anyways, I just need your input, whether your a professional webdesigner or just a normal person wanting to SEO/develop your site in some way, shape or form. Anyways, here it is.

Something Marketing LLC is just a place name, we don't know what we're going to call it quite yet.

I tried to offer that with the floating box in the banner.

Using that design, where and what else do you see that I could do better, specifically?

If you would like to help a fellow BHW member.

perhaps video on the site... thats usually effective too... people have a much shorter attention span than ever before now, so hit them with video explaining what you do and why they should choose you as opposed to someone down the street

can always change the header image out to be a flash movie and have wording and that slide on and off...

    just a thought :)

have a next/previous arrows on your testimonials so people can read more of them...

I don't like the font. Too small. What's wrong with too small fonts these days?

THANKS! - It's what this thread is about, trying to be helpful.

That banner is actually my desktop image, so it's just a stand in, and I do think a video is a great idea too. One that auto-plays 3 seconds after the site loads or something.

I could design a good border for it, resize it, and make it float on the left side of the banner. Good idea?

Again, i'm up for constructive criticism, but just don't be a complete jackass.

And also, I was thinking of having the top top spacer banner having a simple flash entrance with Something Marketing LLC, of course, in a professional but simple manner

Your welcome :p I think you have a good layout the only thing that missing is that graphic...if you can take care of that put something catchy then your good in my opinion. maybe put the video to the left of the bullet points:D

    -Personal Opinion-
I think the site is your basic, boring, cookie cutter site. For using to get into CPA networks, it'll work great, but it doesn't "pop" enough for me to hire you for SEO purposes.
    -just my opinion though-

That's a pretty good idea, get the best of both worlds.

Get attention at the same spot for essentially the same reason.
People can either choose to watch it or read it but either way, it would get the same point across.

I would morph some of the staff, services, about, on to the index.. The links file outbound links? It looks like it's getting ready to be an adsense site to be honest.. Do a "local city" "seo service" search and see what attributes seem to come up the most..

A video would be killer, nothing extravagant.. I don't touch testimonials, but depending on where you do business, you could try a geo/city targeted testimonial.. Try searching successful blogs out there on seo and try to find topics on the concerns or what should be, the concerns of website owners.. Base some of your site around that and the benefits..

How far are you along? Hell you don't even have a logo. :p;)

I put this togethor in about a half hour, even designing the images.

I felt like I had to make something float in that left-column type thing because it was just blank and I didn't know what else to put.

As far as the logo goes, I was going to change the world logo on the top page and the watermark into a fancy SM logo, (it'll actually be (x)M depending on what logo I use)
