THIS IS MY FIRST EVER THREAD ON A JOURNEY. I wouldn't call it that, but more like a case study of a method I have done in the past. However this time I have twisted up so I can cash in and make more sales.

The Method:

Leasing websites/marketing services to newer app developers in Google Play.

Most stuff will be outsourced, websites will be customized by me as that's easy to do. This is basically a good and fast way to get a revenue stream for yourself, while still providing real world value to these app developers, it's a growing market and now is your best chance to kill it.
I will be targeting newer app developers who have paid apps (in it for revenue) and have at least 1 app in their directory. Working with bigger names and ones with say 100,000+ downloads will be saved for when I've perfected the sales process and have some good reviews plus proven strategy to sell them.

The whole point is to get them to have a website for their app, and not only rely on GP searches. Included is a nice website (themeforest themes hehe) and marketing for their app so they get more downloads and more sales. I want them to make money, so I can keep my recurring revenue on top. But I don't want to fall into losing money but I will give up some profits to increase their happiness as being a client, but hey those are called expenses for a reason. We want to have recurring customers because then you can scale up to higher numbers and really bank!

I know this method works, I've made money in the past as a side project to accumulate investment money. I sold an $800 app website to a company from Germany, however now I am in it to win it and scale to a high revenue stream. I am charging at a convenient fee now to start up so it's a way better deal in my opinion rather than charging $2000+ upfront. Just not what I want to be doing, but maybe some of you will prefer that. Just makes it easier to sell for me!

More Details

I will lease websites to app developers who need a website, and app promotion to increase their downloads, sales and revenue. This is judged by having a look at their app and how many downloads they have. The lower the better. The golden ones are typically ones with reviews that have 5* and positive with a decent number of downloads. These have the potential to earn the developer a whole load of revenue, they just don't know how to tap into the power of marketing. We will be doing that for them with GUESS WHAT?! ( o u t s o u r c i n g ) baby!

They get a website, one page for the display of their app to be marketed via SEO, viral social media marketing, and other various methods to accumulate traffic, you know Media buys, advertising etc.

They will also get 5 positive reviews to start off if they don't have a good amount already. If the app icon is shit, they will have to pay for a better converting one. Their description must be filled with useful information of the app including images and adjustments to increase performance in the app store. You don't want to work for someone who hasn't done shit to make their app page decent. But if you find those, make them better it so you can acquire a new client.

They get the full package for one low monthly fee, and they can jump on a 6 month term deal, or a 12 month deal. I will also have a one month trial so they can see it will work and bring revenue in the long run, they get to see what their website will look like and etc. The ideal amount of time needed to properly and successfully market and to bring it towards a good outreach is 3-6 months so therefore the 6 month deal will be my goal for a primary strong selling point. And the month trial will basically be a good way to get my foot in the door.

Pricing is below, I have my own website which allows them to see the packages and purchase right away via PayPal. I know might be a bad idea to use them but I will most likely go with 2CO soon. Most deals will be over email so they will be directed to the preferred checkout page. Bigger deals in the future will most likely require phone calls, so be ready!

Most developers especially the more established ones will already have a website, if their serious about making it in the industry. However, most times they are shit and of many pages. All that's needed is one good landing page, and some good marketing. We are that solution. Don't throw a prospect off the list just because they have a website already. Analyze more and you will determine most times they can be sold a better website along with the marketing they need.

My advantage point is:

Nothing really LOL. Everyone has a shot at this equally. Investment is minimal really.

But I do have a software created by a friend that scrapes the marketplace for emails. OH YEAH!

We should all have that one kind of friend online. Anyways, I can scrape hundreds of emails in minutes from the category I want to chase. I can also email them with a pre loaded email template I use which is gold to get prospects interested. I will post that somewhere below.
It's a simple and great software, however I won't be using it to start off. I will be going in manually to find the ones worth working with. I will take the time, however long, to gather 100 solid prospects and send them each a customized email to get my foot in and to also see the reply rate in which who is interested and keen to really develop their business. First I will have a test batch sent out.

I will later work with developers who have shit stats to help better their online presence, given they are intent and genuine. I don't want work with negligent people. Neither should you :)

Pricing:

Basically I have come up with two models they can choose from. One is a trial they can try for a month to see what they get and test the waters. I'm sure many will choose this before going onto the other deal. I will try to get them on the developer deal first so they get more advantages and features. The trial month is basically the website and creation of social media accounts. Nothing hardcore. Pricing can be different or set to whatever you prefer. I know well I can easily sell this at this price, no doubts.

Trial month deal
$99 one time fee.

The Developer Deal
$175/m for 6 or 12 months. Total= $1050-$2100

I will commit to gathering reviews for my business website, so giving one times deals and etc will be done in order to do that. If you have no reviews like me starting out, get those case studies!

Goals for first three months:

Reach Min. $2,000 in recurring revenue. I would need to reach 11 clients on the 6 or 12 month deal. Piece of cake!

Top goal:

Reach 100 hundred customers on the recurring plan. However long it takes baby, build that business!

I'm just checking in, is your current version of ?their appname? stable enough to withstand an extra 500-1,000 app downloads a day? Please let me know as soon as possible as I'm ready to start sending the downloads immediately upon your consent.

I love this thread, thanks for posting + rep

How would you go about sending out bulk emails if you went down that route?

Thanks. As for sending out bulk emails, you would need a software. If your like me and want to make the email personalized to each developer then you would do it manually and replace 'their appname' with the name of their app. If you just want to blast emails from GP, then use the same template but mix it up so it's a message or offer that doesn't directly name each developers app, so just the same email but for the masses if that makes sense.

The software I have, pre loads each field with the information of the scraped emails so it would replace 'their app name' with the name of that developers app name and basically emails out really quickly to the emails scraped. I am not using it just yet though

Where did you get hosting for 1 cent, and is it any good, and for how long?

Awesome thread. A very unique idea. I might give this a go myself :P
One question, when you email them saying you are ready to give 1k download and they reply yes, we are ready...now what? How do you tell them your 'business plan'?

Really nice method mate! I'm currently doing something similar to this method. An incredible white hat method. When you think outside the box a good result always comes. +Rep for you.

The method is a gateway for money, but just know that 99% of your "targets" are poor and won't be pushing cash out their pockets. That is the main reason why their apps suck, it is because they don't have a budget, otherwise this is a good opportunity.

It's from Hostgator, you can find the coupon for it by searching G. It's good in my opinion, will be enough to handle what I'm doing. It's 1 cent for the first month then $7/m thereafter I believe.

Trust me they will tell you exactly that, from my past experience. Well honestly that's for you to decide, you have to have your own plan on how you will make them more revenue by marketing their app(s). You can outsource it but the plan is created by you! Just get them hooked on the fact you can help them.

As another member stated, most of them don't have a budget, SURE. Some do have a budget and will be happy to throw the money if you can close them. And for the price I'm giving, there is a better chance more will convert since it's not say $800 upfront or whatever your charging. Be flexible

Will update tomorrow around this time guys.

if they know how to make an app, it means they are tech savvy and they surely already know how to make a website, isnt it?

They might know how to build a website but they probably don't have the time to do it as they are focusing on building more apps because its a numbers game on google play.

Eagle Eye is right. You want them to hire you to focus on marketing for them. And well having a website for the app itself, it what I am selling as a side product to get them interested. Cheers

IMPORTANT UPDATE:

Well I completely finished the website I made for this venture, and for reselling other services for profits.
I don't have the PayPal order buttons on the website yet as I will be having the GP developers contact me
so I know they are serious. But anyways most selling and invoicing will be over email and phone if needed.
I believe I will give Freshbooks a try, they seem good!

These aren't big numbers so selling can be done via email and your website. It's a numbers game on getting
clients if you decide to sell or lease the services at a monthly fee such as me, rather than one off charges and etc.
At 11 clients, your already making $2000/m of course - expenses. Th developers I am contacting HAVE $$$ simple
because they have sold 5000+ copies of their app at $2.99 and etc. Chances are they make enough to cover $175/m,
which will in return bring them the ROI. Think of the old days doing viral marketing on FB and etc, do anything you can
to get their app out there. On app forums and websites create accounts but don't spam.

I have an idea in which to effectively get developers SOLID 5* reviews but it involves creating a website which will pay
users to do the reviews. Say a user downloads a $2.99 app, they pay for it but in return they get $5. I will need to find
a damn good web developer to make this website for me so I can begin to offer reviews. Unless, I can find a reliable
re seller of this. If you happen to be one, CONTACT me.

Back to the point of this update..

I sent 25 emails around 5:30 today, and 4-5 were undelivered due to the email addresses being outdated, wrong etc.
So technically only around 20 were successfully delivered. I checked my inbox out of curiosity so here's something cool:

25 emails sent - 4-5 undelivered

As you can see, this guy seems interested as he's asking 'how much' he has to pay and seems excited.
I think I can close this one, but I will update you on that as soon as I go about it. I
was initially going to wait til tomorrow to check my inbox as most reply within 24 hours
some close to 48. So your ideal time of hearing responses is within 48 hours which is sweet!

TIME TO CLOSE! I'll keep you guys updated :)

App Marketing is the "pain point" for app developers. This is a great idea but will definitely be a numbers game. Many will say no but there WILL be those who say yes. No doubt!

Question: Are you using a generic domain name or app category related? Will the app sites be on subdomains? Are you considering having users/reviewers do video reviews?

Oh good idea. I want to try this with my website. APP marketing is having a good potential as the mobile users are increasing every day
