[Rant] Take, take, take....

Now before I start I know I have asked a fair few questions and am still a newboy round these parts, but I think I have enough manners to say thanks now and again if I find something useful.

I am in no way, shape or form an Internet Marketer / BH guru but I dive in and have a go - to help out around here I try my best to to assist others in hosting / coding ways as I am slightly more useful in that area (still not a guru but know me way about).

What is starting to get on me tits is all the questions I get via PM asking for help etc - now don't get me wrong, I don't mind PMs and I don't mind giving help if I can, thats what this place is about.

Its the people that are nice to you until they get the answers and thats it, no thanks, no 'oo would you like a copy of my script as you have helped me write 80% of it' or even the offer of a couple of quid for a beer.

I noticed that most of the culprits (and this is not a dig at most of the people who have PMd me for help, most of you have said thanks etc which is appreciated, its manners after all) are the ones with lower post counts (about the level of me!) so thanks to people taking the piss, I will start to restrict my help to people who appreciate / deserve it and I will be sorting through the requests.

Grrrrrrrr what a way to end a good weekend.

seriously though, its the old 80/20 split that comes up time and time again in pretty much everything:

80% of your useful results come from 20% of your actions
80% of the useful work is done by 20% of the people

just think of yourself as one of the 20% mate, and please dont let the 80% get you down.
