Ok, I really need to rant on this.

2 months back, my aunt was retrenched from her work due to the poor economy and her factory has to shut down. Good thing is, she has a severance package of about $18,000 or so from her loyal 15+ years of service.
Her family is small, monthly expenses is about 1.2k+ or something.

unfortunately her husband (or my uncle) is the spendrift kind. I would say he's the useless kind. Since my aunt doesn't have a bank account, her severance package funds went to her husband's bank account.

So within the first month, she spent about 6k renovating the house. Well, this is reasonable as her house is pretty run down. So my mom told me that my aunt suppose to have about 10k left. Suddenly we were shocked to realize her husband spent everything within just 2 FREAKING MONTHS!

I mean WTF?! They are already a poor family and the uncle spent that kind of money in just 2 months?! THAT IS REALLY WTF! Especially with this economy!
Fortunately my aunt found her new job and has worked for 2-weeks by now.

This is ridiculous, seriously.
I remember someone said that if a person receives a fortune without hardwork (my uncle in this case), he/she will misuse and spent it real quick. Like those lottery millionaires who became broke later.

Pardon me for ranting this but it really pissed me when I just heard that from my mom about my aunt. Pure wtf.

*Rant Off*

P.S: And no, he didn't used that money to pay off any existing bills. Cool story ,bro!

What did he spend it on?

Also your aunt is also to blame - somewhere in the 15+ years she was probably married to him, she should have known that he was a bit loose with money and no matter how committed you are you should always have a bank account in your name (even if it's a joint account).
