This is from a very low competition niche in my area. I'm targeting the local kw but in the serps, not in local search. The site that's getting the #1 postition is this fb page that has zero backlinks to it yet has a PR of 3.

This is a valuable keyword as the value of a customer is in the thousands (it's about dentists in the area). it has no other social signals from other platforms aside from facebook. and the only fb signals it has are fb likes. no shares, and i'm not sure what fbc stands for in traffic travis.

The fact that G decided to up the PR of this FB page based on likes alone says a lot about what G thinks of fb likes. I always viewed likes as a backlink, although a weak one at that.

    Any thoughts?

I'm more intrigued in knowing how it got PR3 in the first place. When was the page created?

exactly. as you can see in the traffic travis report, there are no backlinks to page at all (BLP). BLS is in the millions of course, but it's facebook so nothing weird there.

I'm not sure why you're asking about when the page was created. As far as I know, PR has to do with links, not age. So in the absence of any links on the page aside from FB likes, i'm guessing it's possible that the page got PR3 solely from FB likes. Which doesn't make any sense..

Same results in ahrefs and majestic, for what it's worth
