Anyone have a solution to start working on towards this?

We are 20ish currently on USA and NCR, but 67th on CO.UK..

Is the obvious solution to get more backlinks on UK blogs?

As you said getting links from UK websites (.co.uk, .org.uk) and hosted websites should help - Another option would be to register a UK version of your website and start a fresh SEO campaign on that?

Make some backlinks on .co.uk or .org.uk websites and publish article related to these country i mean use words like for uk "Something in United Kingdom" after sometime in both google you'll get ranked - .co.uk and org.uk
