Ranking site in other region

Hello everyone, I need help from you all. I'm working for a company and he needs to push his site in Google ranking. I did it and bring it to better Google ranking but he asked me to push the website ranking in other regions too. For e.g: our company is in Virginia, he needs to push the website ranking in the Washington D.C area too.

Kindly help me regarding this. I got a good set of keywords and working on it but I couldn't check the results correctly.

How to check our website ranking of other regions? Kindly clear me all these doubts so it will be helpful and I would learn a lot from this.
