    Hi, i have one site which is around one month old, the problem is that, my competitor who is on first position have low backlinks, and almost i have thrice than him/her..but still i m on 11 position with my keyword.. i don't know why my site is on 11 position even it have more than first site links..

    I also dig my competitor links, they are not PR links, i have checked my site seo in MS, i have keyword rich domain, keyword in description, keyword in title, Anchor text backlinks {through SB}, and more more pages index instead of competitor,

    Here is the quick pic of yahoo links from seoquake firefox plugin:http://img607.imageshack.us/img607/1176/compition.jpg

    As u can see last one site is mine and rest are my competitor!!

    I really need quick suggestion from you!!

    Note: I also use SB blast daily, and let them google found the links {no pinging}

    Thanks

    How old is your competition's domain?

    Are there other authority sites on page 1?

    What domain extension are using and what is your competitor using?

    What's the KW of your domain vs your competition?

    Backlinks are just part of the puzzle. I would just keep on building backlinks and promote your site with things like articles, video, press releases, etc. These kinds of promotional materials are not only good for backlinks, but they also provide multiple points of entry to your site which also will improve your traffic.

    1. The reason I asked for the domain age of your competition is that if your competition's domain has been around for a long time, that usually means Google puts more trust in that domain. This doesn't mean you can't move them, but it just might take a little more work.

    2. I'm not asking for you to tell me your keywords. What I was asking is how your domain is structured vs your competitors. For example, if your competition has the domain http://www.yourchosenkeywords.com, and you have http://www.your-chosen-keywords.com or something like http://www.yourchosenkeywordssite.com etc, your competition will usually beat you out in the beginning. Again, this doesn't mean you can't move them. It just may take some work.

    3. It it's a CB product name keyword, then you are more often than not going up against other marketers that are doing the exact same thing you are doing. Again, you can move them, you just need to think outside the box a little.

    4. You should identify where your competition is getting his/her backlinks from. You can then grab backlinks from the same places as well as identify weak spots in your competition's backlinking campaign and exploit them for yourself.
