I've been a weak student of SEO. But now after a hard work in past 6 months, i've managed to reach at number 3 and sometimes number 2 for a really profitable keyword.

But the problem is, there is no conversion.

Sounds funny but i really don't understand whats going on there.

They contact me.
I reply them.
They ask questions.
I explain each and everything briefly.

And then........ No one returns.

I know am lacking somewhere but the question is.. where?

The keyword am ranking for is, really life changing. One conversion = My one month bills and a Brand New Mobile for G.F :D

Please guys suggest, what could be the possible reasons.

And yeah am running my own business for this particular service.

Google.com

I mean directly from Google search. Got friends from all over india who rechecked and it's number 3 most of the times.

First thing I would do is visit your ranking from a proxy or make sure you clean your cookies and change your ip. Then if you are still in the same position the next thing to do is see if your pricing is competitive or to see if someone has put up a negative review of your site somewhere. There is something that is holding them back. Maybe lack of testimonials or something on your site is making them hit the brakes. Also is your traffic meeting your expectations regarding that keyword? Is it an exact match keyword or did you use broad? Just some thoughts :)

Is it really a buying keyword - are the searchers really looking to purchase, is it it informative, or are they stumbling across your service as it were?

are you offering exactly the right thing?

what are the other sites in the top ten offering?

are you selling it the right way?

maybe if you are communicating directly with your potential clients, try and get some feedback.

I've cross checked it from different parts of my county. Am still ranking number 3. And it's not about broad or exact. It's about i get leads and they're not converting.

And thank you very much for your Testimonial thing bro :)

It's a service with recurring cost.
I've also contacted my competitors as a potential client and there was nothing extraordinary.

How many visitors do you get per day, because the number of conversion you can get is based on the number of visitors you get per day and if it's a a fair value at least above 100 then you'll need to further find out any week points and optimize your website in order to get conversions.

Have you tried following up? Maybe they will tell you in a follow-up call as perhaps they were skeptical about something or simply forgot to get back with you as maybe it's not a priority at this time.
