I'm not planning to do it. But has anyone here ranked their site using only blog commenting?
I think after the Panda update its going to be really hard for you to do. I think blog comments still work, but post-panda you are definitely going to need some link diversity and also some solid backlinks. Mix it up, blog comments, directories, articles, etc.
A case study recently tried to do this with a new site.
His site was blacklisted by google as soon as he began pinging the comments.
Link? I find that VERY hard to believe.
Scrapebox is FAR to easy to access/abuse sites with. If this were the case, you'd see "Negative SEO Services" in which everyone attempts to ban the competition.
1) I've successfully destroyed a competitor with Xrumer blasts (I actually didn't like them for a particular reason, I find it's easier to just beat people than bother harming their ranks)
You can see the correction and when google began to not index his backlinks anymore (seemingly)
I remembered incorrectly, that it was a blacklist, seems to just be a worthless strategy.
I can tell you that it works and that I have done it, it all depends on how you do it.
Go out there and blast away on autoapprove blogs with links directly to your main page will make your rankings suffer, but if you approach it in a smart way, everything is possible.
Do your research and learn scrapebox, then buy some good proxies, yes proxies are necessary if you ask me. Then you have to find some good foot prints and harvest urls within your niche cause its certainly much better with relevant pages to comment on.
Then you filter out those blogs, check their pagerank and then choose a certain amount of urls left to comment on.
The blogs with high pagerank, I usually manually comment on with really relevant comments as I scoom through the articles.
Then when the high pagerank blogs are finished, before I go off to sleep, I put on the slow commenter, enter all the information needed and every time have really good comments related to those keywords (spinned), and finally I start posting.
The next day it's all finished and I never ping those urls, cause most of them have pageranks, that means that google have what should I call it "respect/authority" for those pages and crawl them often.
In the matter of days sometimes weeks I see my websites climbing the serps and traffic growing.
This is as easy as it sounds and with persistence you can come far with only this kind of backlinks, but mostly for lower competition keywords.
im a little confused with how scrapebox works than.
people sell scrapebox blast on fiverr like crazy. the customers who purchase the blast gets a 10k (or whatever) backlink blast to their site. I read here that a person should never blast their money site with scrapebox so i am majorly confused. i purchased scrapebox to gain backlinks to my sites so i am very confused how this all works now.
dun mean to jack ur thread OP. sorry =)
What you should have in mind is to never blast with bad blogs to your money site and with those blogs I mean the autoapprovens blogs which are on thousands of links here on bhw and which are getting heavily spammed everyday. Those you should only for you web 2.0 properties or something similiar.
But you can of course blast with good links, read what I wrote in the above post.
haha i spoke too soon. i will try out your method.
question for ya: when you do the slow commenter, where do you put the anchor text? in the comments? in the name?
i am blasting AA lists with my keyword in my name. please correct me if im wrong but that should give me a backlink with an anchor text that is my keyword.?
This works of course, but creating these lists can be a pain.
I have like 100 different footprints with keyword areas to replace and have tried doing just what you describe before and found the results to be lackluster.
I suppose it's almost 100% automated though.
Yeah you are right, the name is your anchor text, but I usually don't use my keyword in the anchor text if it seems spammy (on high pr blogs). I know its a loss for the backlinking but without that, the comments maybe don't get approved.
Some time ago scrapebox was able to do it for not so competitive keywords but today more strategy is needed like more web 2.0 properties with good content etc, alos manual blog commenting are effective.
Have you tried building pyramids with low OBL high PR comments as the base.
It works... granted it's hard and less permanent than the method you mention.
Depends on the niche/competition
I've ranked quite a few low comp EMD's with just scrapebox
I had one site go -100 on G and but i have 2 other sites I brought up to 1st page solely off scrapebox. The weird thing is the site that dropped -100 I had built other links (web 2.0 properties & xrumer links)..it could be just dancing around I have no idea. I just heard somewhere not to ping your URL's so it looks more natural to Google when they crawl your links so hopefully that helps.
Yes if keyword is low in competition and top sites are not well optimized you can and will be able to rank only with blog comments.
There is a lot of BS about Panda and much people dont know that Panda actually targeted content quality and not backlinks.
If your site gets sandboxed then you can get out of it by simply you need to continue to build links and not ping them.
Do not I repeat DO NOT do like 50000 first day and expect to not get sandboxed.
Do about 50-100 daily, and add some web 2.0 properties pointing to your site and blast the www. out of them.
Also you can do some social bookmarks, that is easy and cheap(5$ 125 bookmarks)
Also there is cracked AMR that purrs like a kitteh.I will not reveal where but look around you can find it by google.
Separate names with a comma.
