    Hi guys,

Let's talk about ranking an image on Google Images. A lot of people refuse to rank in Google Images and that's why competition is very low for some good niches from where you can get targeted traffic.

Does anyone have experience with building backlinks to images and ranking them? Or making an RSS for images or a sitemap...

So what ideas do you know for getting images in top? (excepting the old-school known tips like title, alt etc.)

    Thanks

Interesting subject - not sure why it didn't take.

I'm about to do a blast on a group of images and I'll update the progress

I would be interested in how you monetize image traffic (unless you are selling stock images). The only image traffic I have ever received is people wanting to steal or hotlink my images.

    I know many people that search images to buy stuff;
for instance; how my neighbor bought his sofa: He did a local search of the word "sofa" & started clicking away and it lead him to a sofa he loved, and it was linked to a store so he bough it. Funny hugh but there is tons of stories like this - at least here in europe.

Do you blast any backlinks directly to the image?

So I've now blasted 20,000 links to about 20 images - We will see what happens.

Funny how things work - the day after I had the idea of doing a blast on my images I came across this post.

    Update:
3 days ago I blasted about 20 images with 20,000 xrummer backlinks and I did a 48 hour run on NHSEO with 20 threads, one for each word with its corresponding keyword.

Results: All my images have already shown big improvents improvements - I have been doing small amounts of seo for other words (not the ones I used for the images) But I know that it could still be my other efforts improving my images.

I need to do a test - or maybe someone else can:
Blast a set of pictures with no other form of SEO being run.

I will do this probably in about a month or so but if someone is on the fence of giving this a try please do it because my hunch is that it works; and please post your results.

Be sure to only do the blast on the images and no other SEO so we can be 99% on the matter.

In a week or so I will try this. I have a blog with over 200 pictures. That has 0 backlinks created by me.
I will see if a scrape box blast is enough to increase google image traffic

Can you provide an update? I've been trying to find out the same thing. We are always talking about Anchor Text, Contextual Back Links, etc., but I haven't heard anyone talk about creating some juice using their pictures (.jpeg,.gif).

Like most, I have original content with .jpg's that have been "Geo Coded" prior to using them in blogs, forums, profiles, etc. that the Big G has indexed. I would like to try and push these up higher in order to create more link diversification, and juice. My question is this:

    1. What is the best tool to accomplish this?
    2. Is this something that's worth doing?
    3. and, What would be the best way to do this?

Thanks, and look forward to the feedback.

Keyword links have worked for me. You need quite a few... about 6-8 seems right.
