I thought that till Yahoo and Bing were bringing in lots more traffic than Google and making me lots of pounds. Still Google is King and if your high in Google eventually you should be in all.

disagree.. yahoo/bing really brings in more paying customers than g00g..its proven in some SEO studies..G00g customers like to reasearch and shop around before closing a deal.

focus less on profile links and more on ACTUAL PAGE HIGH PR stuff and then bing and yahoo will respond..in other words..get backlinks on actual pr3+ pages

Unless you have a site with millions of views, the 5%+ you get from Bing and Yahoo is shit.

If you're ranking well on Google, the others will catch up in about 60-90 days... at least that's what I see.

this is generally true but not in all the cases. (ie. sites that topped g00g using profile links, low quality spammy sites and etc that bing simply ignores.)

Yeah magicmike and fbc are right.

You should be totally happy it's not the other way around, and in my experience their algorithm lags behind for some reason.

Yahoo and Bing give more credit to keywords in the url then Google does, so usually I am ranking there first for the url and then last with Google.

Here is a snap shot of one of my ranking sites. Almost 55,000 from Google and not even 1000 from Yahoo. Even if Google's traffic isn't as good (in my experience it's actually better) the share volume is worth concentrating on Google.

Keep optimizing for Google and you should be fine in the long run.

    Good Luck

How much better does 1 visitor from Yahoo/Bing have to convert, in order to have the same value as 10 Google visitors? :naughty:

Here are the stats from one of my sites for December.

Keywords generally rank #1 for Google, # 4 for both Yahoo and Bing (it bounces around a little)

    Total search engine uniques: 1254

    Uniques from Google 1051

    Uniques from Yahoo 53

    Uniques from Bing 33

If Yahoo converted at 100%, it would still only bring in 53 sales.

If Google converts at .05 %, it will bring in the same 53 sales. (Actually 52.55)

Yahoo and Bing aren't even icing on the cake, they are the little roses on top of the icing, and I don't worry about them at all.
