Got a quick question for anyone who can help me with this.I just started up a few new eccomerce stores with brand new domain name. These sites have thousands of products each but each product page is seo optimized for each product. Is it possible that just building tons of backlinks to the main home page will pass linkjuice to the subpages which would have me ranking for thousands of very longtail keywords, or should I build links to each individual pagee (which would take a lifetime). Any suggestions appreciated.

You don't need to build links to each individual product, unless the product keywords are very competitive (e.g. iPhone, XBOX, etc.). However, a lot of product pages can rank on their own with no backlinks. Work on building the authority of your main site. Over time, it will have more value in the SE's eyes, and your product pages will get higher rankings. To build authority, work on getting links to your site and publishing unique content on your site (e.g., articles).

-195471's comment is right on point, here is a little expansion of his comments- Build backlinks- to the social network sites, post two pr releases a month, create an internal or external Blog- post comments to the blogs daily. As noted by 195471- create content- "articles" "'posts" etc.- Read the many threads here on BHW concerning generating traffic to your site. Pm us we will always try to help.

hey i've seen a few posts saying that you've had some success in the ecom jewelry biz. Any advice on how to go about finding a trusted source for drop shipping or wholesale. I already have a natural supp. ecom store, but jewelry was something i was looking to get into

You don't need to build links to each page - link juice will pass.

The best advice I can offer is to build links to the homepage and categories - plus any particular products you especially want to promote (think high profit etc)/

Avoid duplicating content on your site - watch for products being displayed in multiple categories.

Add content (text) to category pages and your best products - this will help them rank.

Get users to review products to get more free content - this is technical illegal to fake but people still do it.

    Some info for royal2b.

    Alibaba.com
    Indiamart
    925.com

These will give you all you need, however you can get supplies very cheap with small buy. dropshipping not so good as some will send junk and charge high for individual items on postage.

Watch for the mail theft, if you dont send via "signed for" loads will say they never got, so bad in UK Post Office will not accept jewellery in packet mail you need to use insured registered which is way too expensive for small items.

    PM if you need more.

Good site structure + good content on product pages = win for you.
