I got this 1 month old site which is in local language and is highly on-page optimated for its keywords. Its on 11th and 14th on SERP on local google. But when checking .com SERP its 3rd and 3rd.

Why theres so much difference? My domain extension is not local, but I dont think it matters that much here since my site beats org/net domains when checking non-local SERPs but its behind those on local SERPs.

Location targeting in Webmasters tools may have an effect. You can set up what country you are targeting specifically in the interest of aiding SERPS for the local version of that country.

Thanks for the tip. Did It 5 days ago, but no changes at least yet. Still ranking 3rd for both of pretty highly (compared to my local standards) competetive keywords on US google, but 11th/12th on local.

Any other explanations/tips are much appriciated!
